A leader should be held accountable for their own actions. This helps their team members and followers to know what is expected of them to do. When you have a high standard set for yourself as a leader, your team will follow your example. If they don't follow your example, they will be seen as incompetent, which can lead to their dismissal from your team. Operating without standards will make your teamwork without discipline.

A good leader understands that one of the needs of his/ her team is for him to listen to them. Your team needs you to understand their problems which will help you create a better working environment for all your team members. This improves the performance of your team. Doing good and treating people around you well will also make people return good to you. Help the less privileged, help people around you to become successful, in your community, office, environment etc. People around you will give you more in return when you give yourself to them.
